Rules
Eligibility:
Contestants will have not reached their 36th birthday by November 10,
2005. Copy of Passport or Certificate of Birth is required with the
application.
Repertoire:
Final repertoire requirements will be published October 1, 2005 on this
site.
Repertoire must not be re-used from one round to the next. All new
repertoire must be presented in each successive round.
Preliminary CD Round Repertoire*:
I. Each applicant must perform one of the following works by J. S. Bach:
Prelude and Fugue (Complete) in:
D Major (BWV 532)
G Major (BWV 541)
C Major 9/8 (BWV 547)
B Minor (BWV 544)
II. A major work from the French Baroque
(A complete suite, mass, hymn or a grand
dialogue)
III. A major work composed between 1850-1950
IV. A major work composed after 1950
*A credentialed Proctor must be present and authorize the authenticity of
the performance, using a form provided on this site, available October 1,
2004.

Semi-Final Round Repertoire:
Not to exceed 60 minutes of playing time**
All new repertoire:
I. Each semi-finalist must perform one of these complete Trio Sonatas by
J. S. Bach:
D Minor (BWV 527)
C Major (BWV 529)
G Major (BWV 530)
II. A major work from the French Baroque
(A complete suite, mass, hymn or a grand dialogue)
III. A major work composed between 1850-1950
IV. A major work composed after 1950

Final Round Repertoire:
All new repertoire
Not to exceed 60 minutes of playing time**
I. Each finalist will perform one of the following complete works by J. S.
Bach:
Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor (BWV 542)
Passacaglia in C Minor (BWV 582)
Prelude and Fugue in E Minor (BWV 548)
Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C Major (BWV 564)
II. Suite by Jehan Alain
III. Either two separate compositions or one extended composition of the
finalists
own choosing, from any period
**Semi-Finalists and Finalists will be stopped by the proctor when 60
minutes of playing time has been achieved. Time and choose your repertoire
carefully to avoid this occurrence.
Repertoire for the Jordan Prize Winner's Recital must include:
- At least one work by J. S. Bach
- At least one work from the French Baroque
- Suite by Jehan Alain and
may include any other works of the winners choosing
The make-up of the winner's recital must be approved by the Jury
The playing time of the winner's recital must not exceed 75 minutes
